Here is the only step-by-step process for you to ease your mind and understand the process in detail:

  • Complete an English Language requirement successfully.

As an international applicant you will have to prove your English Proficiency by submitting an English Language requirement. This can either be IELTS or TOEFL. UK NARIC (ECCTIS) or OET is not accepted by the HCPC at this time.

HCPC recommends that applicants whose first language is not English and who are required to provide a language test certificate as evidence of their proficiency must ensure that it is, or is comparable to, IELTS level 7.0 with no element below 6.5 (or IELTS level 8.0 with no element below 7.5 for Speech and language therapists). This is equivalent to a minimum score of 100/120 in TOEFL.
